Benchmarks Graph for Air Freight
What is it?
The Benchmarks graph allows you to visualize your air freight prices against different segments of the market. By uploading your rates into Xeneta, you'll be able to have your freight forwarder prices plotted together with Xeneta's market benchmarks — including the market average, market low, and market high.
As with other graphs in Xeneta, the Benchmarks graph can be filtered by date, freight forwarder, weight break, and service level.
The Benchmarks graph can be reached in two ways:
- By searching for ports from the dashboard and clicking the View Graph button
- By clicking on a row on the All Prices page
Why did we built it?
The Benchmarks graph was added to Xeneta for Air Freight to deliver the same functionality users were used to in Xeneta's Ocean freight product.
Example use case
You wish to compare the air freight rates you've paid to two freight forwarders against the average prices paid on the market for freight in the 200 kilogram weight break between Shanghai and Frankfurt.
By searching for the Shanghai–Frankfurt trade lane from the dashboard, you'll be given an option to view the Benchmarks graph. On the Benchmarks graph page, you can scroll down to the My Prices label and select the freight forwarders relevant to your analysis. With your freight forwarders selected, you can them compare their prices against Market Average prices provided by Xeneta.
