The Trends report provides a comparison of the market benchmarks for short-term contracts (only contracts shorter than one month) and long-term contracts (only contracts with lengths greater than one month). Both or single contract lengths can be selected for viewing on the Market Graph.
The filters available for this report are:
- Date Range (the range of days to show rate data for on this trade lane)
- Container Size (20' SD, 40' SD, 40' HC, 20' Reefer, 40' Reefer HC, 20' Tank)
- Terminal Handling Charges
- Contracted Within (date range in which the contract was initiated)
Short Contracts/Long Contracts
There are two rate tables below the graph; Short Contracts and Long Contracts. Clicking the checkboxes next to each benchmark type (average, low, or high) will display the corresponding rate information in the graph.
By hovering the mouse over the graph, different dates will be displayed in chronological order. As the date range changes, the rates within the Short Contracts and Long Contracts table values will change accordingly as well.
